Royal Society for the Blind Overview 2016
Friday 29 and Saturday 30 July 2016, The Royal Society for the Blind hosted its annual Overview event. The Overview showcased the latest range in adaptive technology and equipment for assisting people who are blind or vision impaired. The important annual event for the RSB welcomed suppliers of low vision technology, local disability agencies and community organisations to promote their products and services at the exhibition.
Senator Katy Gallagher opened the RSB Canberra Overview, and discussed the importance of supporting people who have vision loss. She commended the Canberra community for continued efforts into mobility services, so that people can enjoy a confident and independent life.
Connie, Jessica and Hannah demonstrated a range of items for daily living, including kitchen and bathroom aids, mobility equipment, and text magnification devices. It was a great opportunity to meet many friendly customers and staff - a big thankyou to the RSB for inviting us!
